What is involved?
When applying for an employment, residency, or student visa in China you will need to complete a medical examination to the Chinese government’s requirements. China has a number of requirements from your medical tests to ensure that you are able to work. Your medical results will also show that you will not bring new diseases into the country or be a likely carrier of infectious diseases.
During your appointment you will be seen by our accredited GP and nurse to complete the following:
- China Visa Blood Test profile
- Blood pressure
- Cardiovascular checks
- ECG (electrocardiogram)
- Eye test
- Musculoskeletal exam
- Urinalysis
- Referral for Chest X-Ray
We offer travel medical services at our clinic and can work to your schedule, including evening and weekend appointments. Our experienced clinicians can also answer any questions you may have about your medical tests and give advice on any general health concerns you may have before travelling.
On booking your Visa Medical, you will be provided with a referral letter for your chest x-ray and our booking team will be able to assist you with arranging this at a convenient clinic of your choice.
The chest X-Ray fee will be payable directly to the hospital of your choice and is not included within the fee below.
How long does the process take?
Your appointment should take around an hour and is completed in full at our clinics. You may need to set aside time on another day if you require a chest x-ray as well.
Once we have completed the physical exam and all the necessary tests, we can assist you in receiving your fully completed medical form usually within a week depending on your availability and our Doctors’.
