Private GP Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton- Dedicated to diagnosis and treatment

If you feel that something is wrong with you or a member of the family, we understand the need to see a GP as soon as you can and find a solution to the problem – or a swift way forward to further treatment if time is of the essence.

We aim to give the patient-doctor relationship the time it deserves as we believe understanding what the symptoms are and hearing what you are experiencing, is part of the route to a correct diagnosis. We will always ensure there is enough time to properly listen to your health concerns so that you can be confident in your diagnosis, treatment, and care.

A private consultation with one of Summerfield Healthcare’s GPs will provide you with a relaxed appointment to discuss your concerns and where necessary we can offer you fast-track referrals and private prescriptions with longer appointment times to allow you more time to discuss your health concerns and conditions.

GP Consultations

We offer a wide selection of appointments and consultations with GPs who can help with various medical concerns. We have experience of family medicine and can help you put children at ease during check-ups or consultations. We also have both male and GPs on-site for sensitive healthcare needs. Easily book an appointment with your preferred GP or let us know what your concerns are and we can ensure you are seen by the right doctor.

By booking a private GP consultation in Shrewsbury or Wolverhampton, you can give yourself and your family the best medical care possible. Whether you are looking for peace of mind, a new diagnosis, or a second opinion, our specialists can make sure you are well cared for and get the treatment you need. Our clinics are easy to access, modern and comfortable, and we accept last-minute bookings.

A Second opinion

Have you ever queried your GP’s decision not to investigate further? If you feel that your doctor has missed something it can be extremely worrying; that all-important second opinion could reassure you, find something your own GP has missed, or even save your life.

When you come for a second opinion appointment you do not need a referral and are under no obligation to tell your primary care provider that you are getting a second opinion. We offer second opinion services to help you get peace of mind and the right treatment.

Longer appointments

Now more than ever NHS GPs are stretched with their time, meaning your appointments with your family GP are rushed and you will often find yourself coming away with more questions than answers. Our minimum appointment time of 15 minutes allows more time to get to the bottom of the problem.

We also offer double appointments, extending your time with the GP to 30 minutes to allow you to say all you need to say and discuss potential solutions.

Summerfield Healthcare’s medical reception team are specially trained to deal with all enquiries in a professional, prompt & private manner. Do get in touch with us today if you are looking to see a GP, or would like a private GP appointment for a child.

Personalised Care

One of the biggest advantages of private medical care is the holistic treatment we can offer you. We know that medical care can often be intimidating and that it is important for you to feel safe and comfortable. We support you in seeing the same physician for repeat visits to ensure continuity of care. We will give you consistent care from diagnosis through to recovery and after-care.

At Summerfield Healthcare we also recognise that you are more than your condition. We will take the time to listen to you, consider your lifestyle and situation, and work with you to create the best health and treatment plans. This includes diet and lifestyle plans where necessary and private prescriptions for medications you might need.

Our private prescriptions also allow you to access medication without the wait.

Staying Healthy

Seeing a private consultant is not only about treating existing conditions. Staying healthy is just as important as getting healthy. With an array of medical checks and health screenings to suit your needs and your budget, we can help you stay healthy and give you assurance that your body is working optimally.

Health screens will also clearly show if there are any aspects of your health that need ongoing monitoring. Quickly identify underlying conditions that could develop into problems if left unchecked.

What is the cost?

Your health is our priority, so we have set out prices competitively to help you get the best treatment at affordable prices.

Initial consultations fees are £59 for a 15-minute appointment with a GP, fast-track referrals and private prescriptions.

If you would prefer to have a longer amount of time with the GP, extended 30-minute consultations are available for £89, also with fast-track referrals and private prescriptions.

Do I need insurance?

No private medical insurance is needed to book an appointment at Summerfield Healthcare as we accept self-funding patients on a pay as you go basis.
