What if I need a second opinion?

Do you offer longer appointments?
Yes. For multiple or complex issues, Summerfield Healthcare offers longer consultations, allowing you time to speak to a clinician properly without the feeling of being rushed. A standard slot with a GP is 15 mins for single-issue appointments, however, if more time is needed, we also offer you the ability to book a consultation for up to 30 minutes to allow you to say all you need to say and discuss potential solutions.
Can I get a virtual appointment?
Yes. If you require access to a GP and are finding it difficult to travel to one of our clinics, or juggle your commitments or work & family life to fit in an appointment, you can book a virtual consultation with us and speak to a medical professional at a time and place convenient to you.
Please note, although this service is designed to make our service more accessible, it also does provide some limitation if a clinician is unable to examine a condition in person.
Do I need insurance?
No private medical insurance is needed to book an appointment at Summerfield Healthcare as we accept self-funding patients on a pay as you go basis.
We appreciate that if you want to be seen quickly, you do not want to be kept waiting with lengthy insurance and sign-up processes which is why we simply take your details and book you in for your GP consultation.

What are the benefits of private healthcare over the NHS?
Getting an appointment with an NHS GP can be a slow and stressful process as the NHS is often overwhelmed and therefore too busy to give appointments to everyone who needs one. Can I get an appointment without a referral?
You do not need a referral to book a private gp appointment at Summerfield, simply get in touch today and we will get you booked in as soon as possible.
