An important part of this role is providing much needed support to bereaved families and improving patient safety.
Dr Randhawa is passionate about improving the health of patients in Wolverhampton and this led her to take on the role of Clinical Lead for Health Inequalities for Wolverhampton CCG in January 2022. Health inequalities are avoidable, unfair and systematic differences in health between different groups of people. Dr Randhawa works alongside several organisations to provide clinical leadership on projects to reduce inequalities.
Dr Randhawa has a particular interest in Lifestyle Medicine – an evidence-based approach to preventing, managing and treating lifestyle related chronic illnesses. Approximately 70% of chronic diseases are a result of lifestyle. She is currently studying towards a diploma in Lifestyle Medicine, allowing her to empower patients to make more informed choices about health behaviour change.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, keeping fit, music and reading.
