Dr Saema Saleem MBChB, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFRSH, BSc (Hons) qualified from the University of Manchester in 2000 and now has over 15 years’ experience working as a General Practitioner after gaining a distinction in her MRCGP. In addition to her skills as a GP, Dr Saleem also specialises in women’s health and the management of the perimenopause and menopause. She has gained the DRCOG and DFRSH qualifications.
Dr Saleem has many years’ experience in performing joint/tendon injections and minor surgical operations on skin lesions and lumps. She is also trained in fitting and removing contraceptive implants and coils (intra-uterine devices).
She has an interest in medical education and mentoring; she is a GP trainer, medical student tutor and GP appraiser. She finds it very rewarding to support the professional development of current doctors and the future generations, encouraging them to be caring, compassionate and knowledgeable clinicians.
She strives to provide excellent, holistic patient care, to understand patient’s concerns, focus on patient-centred care, and give clear explanations and advice.
In her spare time, Dr Saleem enjoys spending time with her husband and children, she loves to bake, go on long walks, travelling and watching movies.
