Dr Ranjit Sagoo (MBChB, MRCGP, DRCOG, DPD) qualified in Medicine in 2006 at the University of Leicester. After initially training in as a surgeon, spending time gaining experience in General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Intensive Care and Trauma and Orthopaedics, he then went on to become a GP in 2013 and has spent the last 8 years in NHS General Practice.
Throughout his career Dr Sagoo has developed a broad experience of medicine but has special interests in Dermatology, Orthopaedics and Minor Surgery. After qualifying as a GP he went on to complete a Diploma in Dermatology and Certificate in Dermoscopy and so has substantial knowledge in managing skin conditions and identifying skin lesions. Using both his Dermatology and Surgical skills Dr Sagoo performs Minor Surgery and cryotherapy for benign skin lesions and performs joint and soft tissue injections.
Expanding his surgical interests, Dr Sagoo completed the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health Special Skills Certificate in Local Anaesthetic Vasectomy in 2015 and has been performing vasectomies on a regular basis.
Dr Sagoo believes in being a patient-centred doctor and taking a holistic approach to meeting his patient’s healthcare needs. He enjoys building strong trusting relationships with his patient’s and understanding health concerns from their perspective.
Dr Sagoo is an advocate for medical education as a GP Registrar and Foundation Doctor trainer and Medical Student tutor. He has firm beliefs in supporting the development of the future generations of doctors as caring, passionate and knowledgeable clinicians.
Outside of Medicine, Dr Sagoo is a published and award-winning artist. His passion is pastel wildlife and conservation art. In 2022 he won the British Contemporary Art Award. He also enjoys sports, especially football, travel and spending time with his wife and 2 children.
