Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral letter to obtain your test. We see patients with and without referral letters from a GP and you can take your results to your GP for ongoing treatment after the test is completed.

How it works

  1. Book your Test. To book your blood test, please call 0333 9000 010, where you can discuss your request with our bookings team.
  2. Attend your appointment with our experienced and registered healthcare professional. Appointments are usually fifteen minutes depending on blood tests required and the blood taking fee is only £40, regardless of the number of blood tests you book. (This is in addition to each blood test you require which we charge at cost price ie what the laboratory charges Summerfield Healthcare).
  3. Your blood sample is sent to our laboratory for analysis.
  4. Receive your results – For many tests results are available the next working day. Your blood test results will be sent electronically in the form of an easy to read secure PDF file. Depending on your preference results can also be posted first-class.
